Customer Protection Analyst

The Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Customer Protection Analyst to join the Quality team at Warren Truck Assembly Plant (WTAP) in Warren, Michigan. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape.

The selected candidate will oversee and review project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle ensuring the product meets or exceeds customers' needs and expectations. Specific responsibilities are:



  • Managing the treatment of Manufacturing Non-conformities for the WS and DS models.


  • Contribute to the achievement of Customer Quality objectives.


  • Acquisition of new customer alerts outside of the plant (warranty claims, customer incident reports, and PDI).


  • Plant Manufacturing Team: Reporting the Customer claims due to non-conformities from their process and validate the action plans to overcome them (special focus on repeated issues, and safety problems)


  • Working closely with QC to challenge the PQG's (Quality gates) offering tangible knowledge to move or set new checks in system.


  • Command processes of internal alert (Post Its) creation to the quality organization, from warranty claims (including PDI) and inform responsible parties about them.


  • Serial Life Quality Manager: Manage relationship with SLQM for top customer claims and the action plans linked to them.


  • Monitoring of new process or programs (PLM, Foundry, Palantir, Tracer, etc.) for the treatment of customer defects and support to ENG Team for customer ISS.


  • Meeting with SCA and QC to check top quality claims and challenge the current quality controls if necessary (CVX and SCA).


  • Support implementation of Plant Proximity Dealer Network. Assisting with plant/dealer relations.


  • Support resident engineer team with issue resolution on complex problems when required.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal from High Level Meetings down to the Shop Floor


  • Rigorous and pragmatic


  • Languages: plant language & English



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in the fields of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university.


  • Experience in a manufacturing/union environment.


  • Experience in structured problem solving


  • Experience and understanding of data/statistical analysis.
