What you'll be doing...

We are seeking a Sr Engr Cslt-Software Devt to join our software development team responsible for building best in class digital experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining digital applications for the Verizon Prepaid brands. This includes creating frictionless digital experiences using industry leading software and tools, integrating with cutting-edge AI technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional business value.

  • Driving software development and programming in Java and J2EE, utilizing Agile methodologies

  • Developing next-generation digital using React, Next.js front end and microservices using Spring Boot

  • Providing technical solutions and business expertise on complex projects across multiple channels

  • Collaborating with business partners to design and implement partner programs for store channels, including Exclusive Retail Stores, Call Centers, Agent Retail, and National Retailers.

  • Delivering programs in a product-based Agile structure.

  • Maintaining functional/technical requirements, analyzing system architectures, and ensuring optimal device-system interactions.

  • Leading emerging technology initiatives, facilitating decision-making and driving integration with third-party software products

  • Driving DevOps implementations from ideation to delivery

  • Partnering with Global Delivery teams to create and optimize cross-channel experiences

  • Delivering results within budget, time, quality, and strategic KPIs

  • Documenting and complying with software quality, data security, and compliance processes

  • Recommending and implementing customer experience process improvements

  • Resolving customer complaints in a timely and effective manner

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.

  • Experience in Software Development.

  • Experience in Java, J2EE, and React, Next.js front end technologies.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Experience in Spring Boot.

  • Experience with software development, including Agile project management.

  • Experience with AWS, Oracle, Cassandra/NoSQL databases.

  • Experience to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience delivering large, complex software programs.

  • Understanding of technology selection, architecture, and full-stack implementation.

  • Experience in Design Thinking and Engineering Transformation (DevOps, Microservices, AI).

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate large teams.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $101,000.00 - $194,000.00.
