Rigger/Master Rigger Job ID JR101934 Date posted 07/24/2025 Organization Overview The Production Division within the Brookhaven National's Laboratory 's Facilities & Operations Directorate provides mechanical, architectural, and civil services to build, support and maintain the Lab's infrastructure. Position Description Rigging Services seeks a Rigger / Master Rigger to join their team. This individual shall possess the skills necessary for the relocation of heavy machinery/equipment by attaching rigging to move, lift and/or hoist with cranes and/or forklifts; controlling movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls, pallet jacks, vault jacks, air mats or other equipment; dismantling, inspecting and storing rigging equipment after use. Expected to signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials; use hand signals and other means to direct crane operators and help guide the objects into place; and tilt and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques. This position reports to the Multi-Trade Supervisor. The regular hours of operation/shift for this position are Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
