Position Summary:

The Production Trainer will play a crucial role in our workforce development by delivering comprehensive, hands-on training sessions tailored specifically for both new hires and current production employees. This position is not only about imparting skills but also involves meticulously maintaining detailed training records to ensure all employees are up-to-date with their training requirements. Furthermore, the Production Trainer will actively promote and enforce safety protocols, cultivating a workplace environment where safety is paramount. In addition to these responsibilities, the trainer will also ensure that all team members consistently adhere to our stringent Quality System guidelines, which are essential for maintaining high standards in our production processes.

* Complete TWI Train the Trainer Program and demonstrate competency in training others.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate OJT Trainer OJT Plan and train new employees for at least 30 days post-Core Skills Training.
  • Implement On the Job training plans for trainees and identify employees needing refresher training.
  • Troubleshoot equipment operation and quality issues.
  • Assist machine operators in skills and software training.
  • Log training hours and work in other areas during unscheduled training.
  • Fill in for absences and ensure adherence to manufacturing procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with Engineering/Quality regarding issues and ensure smooth technology transfers.
  • Maintain communication across shifts and levels, review trainee documentation, and uphold company standards.
  • Collaborate with management to meet company goals, evaluate training effectiveness, and document training events.
  • Compile training metrics, identify quality concerns, and keep trainees motivated.
  • Coordinate with leads on training schedules, assign work to trainees, and communicate quality issues as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with assembly guidelines, manage day-to-day 5S standards, and may require additional hours and shift work.
Requirements

* Minimum of 2 years as an Assembler

* Must demonstrate team work/leadership skills in a manufacturing environment.

* Must demonstrate good communication skills.

* Must demonstrate attention to detail, organization and time management skills.

* Must demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Must demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

* Must be able to effectively communicate with others.

* Must be able to complete and understand analysis of numbers; read, analyze and interpret written materials.

* Must maintain compliance with company policies; respond appropriately to feedback to make improvements; maintain a positive working relationship; troubleshoot and solve problems.

* Must demonstrate the ability to handle repetitive tasks.

* Must demonstrate the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and facilitate teamwork.

* Must work well with others.
