Job Description: The Marketing Events Account Lead will be responsible for the management and administration of assigned Account Events & Meetings, relying heavily on consulting and project management skills.This role will perform a range of duties including meeting with the Business Unit for event and meeting needs, creating the project plan based on meeting/event objectives, success criteria, etc., and managing the facilitation and deployment of the event. The Marketing Events Account lead will be required to interact with practice leaders to understand their event needs and requirements on a regular basis. The leader will develop a detailed project plan, including vendor requirements, timing, budget, and resource needs. The implementation phase will involve collaborating with the Shared Services Event Team to ensure successful deployment of the event strategy. The successful candidate should have event strategy, design, project management and execution experience and enjoy managing an environment of continual improvement, demonstrating excellent attention to detail. The position requires extensive people, communication, project management, organizational, and process skills along with knowledge of the internal business practices and priorities to support multiple projects with a high level of focus on quality, accuracy, and confidentiality in all work products. This person will bring thought leadership, ideas, and recommendations to strategic event planning projects. A high degree of technical competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications is necessary as the work performed by this team requires a deep understanding of and proficient use of these technologies to ensure compliance with Firm work deliverable standards.The position reports to the Marketing Meeting and Events Strategy Leader and is a member of the Marketing Business Unit.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily management and operations related to the assigned Account Events & Meetings processes and related tasks, including but not limited to:
- Serve as the primary contact for aligned Account events.
- Strategic planning and management for all related events, including but not limited to: Market-facing events, leadership meetings, and other internal events.
- Scheduling and resource coordination for all Events and meetings.
- Intake Processes established in collaboration with Meeting and Strategy Leader and Practice Area Leaders to ensure consistency in review, identification, and management of all Events
- Creation and implementation of an event project plan with clear objectives, budgets, timing, and assignments for all event aspects including communication, promotion, logistics, content creation and post-event analysis and lead follow-up functions.
- Ensure project ROI is aligned to anticipated outcomes and approved budget.
- Identify vendor requirements for sourcing and recommend the best solution based on event scope.
- Coordinate with external vendors and/or Shared Services team members to ensure items are addressed or resolved, and all are meeting delivery expectations and timeline.
- Collaborate with appropriate individuals to expedite the review and approval of various event requests and associated tasks.
- Comply with Firm, BU policies and standards, and other certification requirements (such as NASBA).
- Collaborate with the Firmwide Event leader, other Marketing Event Leads and SSDC process leaders to identify and implement process, technology, template, and training enhancement opportunities across the event function for the firm
- Ensure timely and accurate high quality work preparation, completion, and problem resolution within this role and as an indirect supervisor of the functions supporting the event.
- Commit and contribute daily as needed to ensure SLAs are either met or exceeding performance expectations.
- Delegate large event tasks and smaller projects to Shared Services event producers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on corporate event planning and logistics experience, ideally within a professional services industry.
- Experience in defining event objectives and corresponding ROI.
- Oversight of projects, budgets, and resource allocation to support success and optimal operational efficiency
- Management of event resources in a distributed operating model/structure
- Ability to build strong respectful and professional working relationships at all levels, internal and external to the Firm.
- Strong thought leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong work ethic and desire to produce results as part of a successful practice.
- Strong verbal communication and people-related skills.
- Advanced level of expertise in Microsoft Office
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to complete work and projects.
- Strategic awareness and ability to bring ideation and efficiencies to projects and processes
- Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality in all information, work products and communications.
- Process orientation and analytical skills to identify and report trends and make recommendations.
- High energy level and ability to function in fast-paced, high stress situations attributed to tight deadlines and multiple client or team needs.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Background in professional services operations
- Bachelor or Associates degree in business or relevant field preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended hours in excess of regular schedule, based on project work and peak busy times.
- Ability to travel for event support, personal development training and departmental meetings.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Event technologies (event management, registration and attendee engagement tools, etc.)
- Event industry landscape
- Experience working with client service teams to maintain Firm standards.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,700.00 - $133,400.00 per year.
