The Opportunity

As part of the Global Sourcing Team and reporting to the Global Category Manager for Data & Online Services you will take ownership of strategic procurement initiatives in the subcategories of Financial Data, Insurance Data and Rating Data.

You will focus on delivering optimal sourcing solutions that create business value, strengthen supplier relationships, support digital transformation, and ensure compliance with regulatory and risk standards. In this senior role, you will lead complex, high-spend global projects and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure strategic procurement processes including demand management, tenders, offer evaluations, contract negotiations, and implementation
  • Support the Global Category Manager in developing sourcing, supplier, and risk strategies, as well as shaping the process value chain
  • Ensure alignment and implementation of global procurement strategies across the organization
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Influence stakeholders and senior business partners to support and implement sourcing strategies
  • Apply deep category and market knowledge to identify opportunities and drive results
  • Foster global interaction with the procurement functions within Munich Re Group (e.g. ERGO, MEAG)
  • Promote the use of digital procurement tools and improve user satisfaction (e.g. Coupa)
  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with legal, regulatory, and corporate social responsibility standards

Qualifications

  • Degree in economics, engineering, supply chain management or a comparable qualification
  • Extensive experience in procurement, with a proven track record of leading strategic sourcing and supplier management
  • Deep knowledge of Insurance Data
  • Prior experience in Insurance industry preferred in Procurement or Data related roles
  • Strong international negotiation and advanced contracting skills for complex sourcing projects
  • Experience supporting global strategies across business units and countries
  • Analytical, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage complexity
  • Skilled in procurement tools and technologies, such as e-sourcing platforms, AI, and analytics software
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Customer-focused and confident working across all levels in an international environment.

The Company is open to considering candidates in Cincinnati, OH or Princeton, NJ .

The salary range posted below applies to the Company's Princeton, NJ location. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $145,000 - $192,000 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton, NJ. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
