Applications are being accepted for the following vacancies for the Fall 2025 semester on the Faculty staff of Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York.

Department: Human Services/Addictions Counseling

Full-Time Instructor: Human Services/Addictions Counseling HV-FAC-9988
(Position is a probationary full-time tenure track position) Fall 2025

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Addictions Counseling or related field. Excellent oral and written communication skills; professional teaching experience is necessary to facilitate program goals and objectives; minimum of three years teaching experience with emphasis in practice management procedures; computer-based instruction is essential on the college level.

Three years of relevant employment experience and/or ability to engage in distance learning initiatives, CASAC or CASAC eligible preferred. Must be current in trends standards and practices in the field. Experience with development and implementation of relevant coursework, recruitment initiatives, teaching methodology, and curriculum management development is preferred.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: The full-time instructor - Human Services/Addictions Counseling reports to the Department Chairperson of Human Services/Addictions Counseling performs the following duties:

* Distance Learning Instruction and in person instruction.
* Assist in coordinating clinical internships.
* Evaluates students' performance.
* Participation and coordination of department academic /remediation and retention initiatives.
* Participation in student advisement.
* Performs faculty duties as specified by the Faculty Collective Bargaining agreement.
* Participation in all aspects of maintaining the standards and expectations of the department, curriculum management, development and program review requirements and projects.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Services/Addictions Counseling Department Chairperson related to the support of the Human Services/Addictions Counseling Department.
* Participates in staff meetings and staff development activities.
* Participation on departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported.

The Salary for Fall 2025 academic year position is $52,500.00.
