The Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a Graduate Medical Education Program Manager to join our collaborative Education team. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting the administration of ACGME-accredited training programs.

The Program Manager will work closely with the Assistant Director of Education and faculty leadership, serving as the primary coordinator for the Interventional Radiology Residency Programs and Neuroradiology Fellowship. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day program operations, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and supporting the educational experience of residents and fellows.


  • This is a 100% full-time position with a flexible work schedule to be determined at the time of hire.

  • The role requires some on-site work at a designated campus location, with the possibility of remote work for certain responsibilities.


Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring resident/fellow and program compliance with policy, accreditation, and regulatory requirements and that appropriate documentation is maintained
  • Regularly attends monthly program coordinator meetings and GME educational offerings. Collaborates with other colleagues to develop best practices, and serves as an administrative reviewer of other GME programs. Should regularly attend national GME or specialty conference(s)
  • Collaborates with the Program Director to assess curriculum and evaluations, developing the structure and delivery mechanism, and maintaining accurate records of curriculum, evaluations, and participation
  • Maintains the resident/fellow and program expenditures. Advises fiscal leadership on program budgetary needs and monitors program expenses within budget constraints
  • May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
  • Provides guidance for resident/fellow recruitment, credentialing, and onboarding to maintain compliance with regulatory bodies and hospital policies
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of accreditation program requirements and related policies, regulatory requirements, and hospital and program policies to provide expert consult to the Program Director to maintain accreditation and compliance with regulatory bodies and pertinent policies
  • Serves as the primary contact for the program, liaising with those directly associated with the program, the Institutional GME Office, and regulatory agencies. Advises residents/fellows, program staff/faculty of program and institutional policies and procedures

Compensation:

The starting salary for this position is $71,994; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Employees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation, holidays, and paid time off; competitive insurances and savings accounts; and retirement benefits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and database tools, with the ability to effectively complete tasks and manage projects using these applications.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative support role, demonstrating strong coordination and organizational skills in a professional setting.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in an academic healthcare or medical education setting.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex policies and work independently with minimal supervision.


Education:

Bachelor's Degree Preferred; focus in education, health care administration or closely related field preferred.
