Acts as the representative of stakeholders to manage product backlogs and review sprints outcomes to ensure the business success of scrum software development projects. Applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments.
What is the opportunity? The Sr ACH Payment Product Manager within RBC Capital Markets US Cash Management team will be responsible for supporting the end to end ACH payment product development life cycle, including working with the product leadership to establish product vision, strategy and roadmap. Sr. ACH Product Manager is also responsible for defining, prioritizing and implementing ACH payment capabilities across all end to end product disciplines within RBC Clear to deliver client backed digital first solutions. The Sr. product manager will operate with the agile delivery approach and work collaboratively with squads/teams across engineering, operations, sales, legal, compliance, risk and strategic vendors deliver innovative and best in class outcome. What will you do?
- Contribute to establishing the vision and the road map for Cash Management ACH payment product.
- Acts as the voice of the client in product and workflow design, gathering direct feedback from customers on the future feature roadmap
- Lead ACH payment product development following the strategy and roadmap in the agile delivery environment, including but not limited to drafting, grooming and prioritizing user stories backlog, business process mapping. Support FUT, SIT and UAT and production release.
- Collaborate with Design team to produce service design blue print and business process flow that is aligned to the RBC Clear product development guiding principles.
- Lead end to end ACH product experience business requirement discussion, documentation and review with other product domains such as client channel, liquidity management, data management and internal user experience to deliver the end to end ACH product vision.
- Collaborate with cross divisional teams such as operations, legal, compliance and risk where required to progress the product design, product development and product launch.
- Lead the Go-to-Market activities for ACH product roll outs, such as providing training and support to teams in Operations, Client Services, Sales and other functional areas
- Ensure business is in compliance with Nacha ACH rules.
- Stay current or participate industry forum where necessary such as AFP and Nacha conference (remote or in person) where required to gain industry and client insight and support of future and emerging products development.
What do you need to succeed?
- 10+ years of working experience in financial industry, preferably Cash Management or Transaction Banking.
- 5+ years of in depth knowledge in ACH payment product, ACH Operations and other domestic payment products such as check issuance and remote deposit.
- 3+ years of experience in hand on agile development in a product owner role, including creating user stories, backlog refinement. Ability to work with JIRA in agile squad structure. Ability to product business process maps
- In depth knowledge in ISO and Nacha payment formats. Familiar with legal and compliance obligation related to Nacha guidelines and other regulations related to ACH
- Client centric and innovative mindset in product design. Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources. Startup mindset (comfortable with quick pace, quick change, ambiguities)
- Strong organizational skills, A "can do" attitude; Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
- Experience in building web-based payment product; have good understanding of innovative technologies and current technology trends; Working knowledge in digital channel product knowledge such as host to host, API, SWIFT and TMS/ERP integration
- Working knowledge in the pricing strategy for payment product in the industry
- Nacha AAP certification preferred but not required

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $150,000-$200,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
