Job Description

The National Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence, consistency, and growth across our portfolio of single-family rental homes and communities nationwide. They partner closely with regional property teams to implement standardized processes, champion system and technology adoption, and lead key initiatives that elevate both resident satisfaction and internal operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

Operational Support & Alignment

  • Provide hands-on day-to-day guidance to regional and centralized property teams, ensuring adherence to company standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Collaborate with the SOP team to develop, update, and maintain operational playbooks, standard operating procedures, and training materials.

  • Support seamless onboarding of newly acquired communities.

Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead or coordinate multi-site projects, including technology rollouts like CRM implementations.

  • Work closely with corporate teams to ensure consistent execution of initiatives across regions.

  • Assist in planning and managing national programs to drive engagement and operational success.

Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend scalable improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with leasing regulations and internal policies across all properties.

  • Drive enforcement of standardized processes to maintain quality and consistency.

Resident Experience Enhancement

  • Support omnichannel strategies that improve resident engagement and satisfaction.

  • Assist with escalation management and resident retention efforts.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key operational metrics.

  • Provide actionable insights to inform strategy and optimize performance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of single-family housing operations.

  • Proficiency with property management platforms such as Yardi, AppFolio, or Buildium.

  • Proven track record leading projects across distributed teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of experience in residential property management.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience managing third-party or institutional single-family rental (SFR) portfolios.

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.

$86,860.00 - $144,760.00
