Description

    Determining and recommending solutions to current, projected and potential obsolescence issues affecting multiple systems supported by Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN, primarily used by NavAir programs
  • Utilizing established techniques and methods to assist with the development of draft or finished technical presentations to program management and customers

Requirements

  • Ability to assist the government customer's staff in the collection and analysis of actual and predictable obsolescence data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new software applications as needed
  • Detail-oriented ability to maintain required records
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of government civilians, military personnel, other contractors, and vendors
  • Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email, and in person


Desired Skills

  • Prior Navy or other military life-cycle logistics experience is preferred
  • Prior experience deconstructing systems to determine what parts are approaching "end of life" and how and when to order replacement parts
  • Ability to negotiate purchase terms with vendors
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
