Job Description

Raymond West is looking for a motivated Stockroom Lead to join our Parts department. The Stockroom Lead is responsible for training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work of the Parts Department

Duties and Responsibilities:


Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.



  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow for stockroom personnel.
  • Assigns duties, ensures work is checked for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to established policies and procedures. Reviews policies and procedures, suggests and implements changes where necessary.
  • Issues written and oral instructions to Parts Department subordinates.
  • Promotes and supports sales of all RW products and services to include New and Used equipment, Field Service, Rental, Shop, Parts, Training and Allied services.
  • Promotes a professional image of the Parts Department and RW in general.
  • Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with vendors, prospective vendors, customers, and all RW departments.
  • Provides support in any area of the Parts Department where a need exists.
  • Identifies, on an ongoing basis, areas where improvements can be made in operations and procedures; presents suggestions to management. Implements approved changes.
  • Trains employees to perform new duties and to improve performance on existing duties.
  • Monitors daily subordinates' performance levels.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized working environment always.
  • Maintains a high level of customer service on the telephone, at the counter, and through accurate order fulfillment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.


Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Organizational Time Management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments.
  • Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.


Education/Experience:


Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position.



  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.


Pay Range:



  • The hourly range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.


Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
