Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Assist Loan Review Department Manager in establishing goals, objectives, and plans for the department. * Assist in implementing the tools and techniques needed to accomplish goals. * Assist in the department's follow-up on identified issues. * Independently assess credit quality. * Evaluate accuracy and timeliness of loan officer assigned risk ratings. * Test loan officer compliance to Bank policies/procedures. * Test for compliance with applicable federal laws/regulations. * Assess management supervision of lending portfolios. * Prepare written/oral communications and reports. * Identify, communicate, and support issues that need corrective action and other recommendations for improvement. * Interact with and support other credit related functions within the Bank. * Assist in the preparation of regulatory and Audit Committee reports as directed. * Participate in due diligence activities of potential acquisitions. * Provide training to Junior Loan Review Officers/Loan Review Officers. * Guide and lead Junior Loan Review Officers/Loan Review Officers in achieving departmental objectives. * Evaluate investment security risk ratings according to Valley standards.
