DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 1, you will be responsible for a wide-range of routine maintenance and sanitation services to ensure for efficient operations throughout the Cambria County Maintenance Office. Specific duties will entail general building upkeep such as washing and waxing floors, polishing furniture and fixtures, cleaning lavatories, and discarding trash. You will also participate in grounds maintenance to include mowing, raking, landscaping, and snow removal. This professional may be tasked with completing minor maintenance repairs to buildings and facilities using carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tools in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment. You will also have the opportunity to assist skilled workers with various projects as necessary, in addition to conducting manual labor duties using both motorized and non-motorized hand tools. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Hours may vary with operational or seasonal requirements.
- Some overtime and travel may be required.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
