State Farm In-House Insurance Staff Counsel is seeking Legal Administrative Support team members to join the Shared Services Claim Litigation Counsel team in Orlando, FL. This is an excellent entry level opportunity in a legal environment and provides diversity of work and the opportunity for career development. The selected competitive candidate(s) will be housed at Mimi L. Smith & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance and will be part of the Floating Support Team. While every day can provide different experiences and opportunities, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to new file setup, closing files, and communication with internal parties. Responsibilities are performed entirely on the computer and phone, utilizing various software and digital tools to manage tasks, communicate, and support business operations efficiency as part of the Shared Services Team. The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend time in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs. Hours for the position are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:15pm. Location: 390 N Orange Ave, Ste 1700, Orlando, FL 32801
Incumbency period: This position will have a 12-month incumbency period beginning on the effective date of the position, which must be met before the incumbent can post or be considered for other opportunities. Exceptions to the incumbency period may be considered for promotional opportunities and will be considered on an individual basis, consistent with business needs and management approval. This does not affect the at-will relationship between State Farm and the employee and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- New file set up
- Communicating with internal parties

Qualifications
- Previous Experience required
- Legal experience is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with court structures, vendors, and other legal resources is preferred, but not required
- Data entry experience
- Key Skills required
- Strong organizational skills, prioritizing, decision making, multitasking, time management, and initiative
- Strong written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail
- Accurate, efficient, and comfortable working in an electronic environment
- Strong ability to anticipate deadlines to ensure completion of time sensitive tasks
- Technology/software experience required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe is highly desired
- Working knowledge of a Case Management system
- Working Knowledge of a Document Storage system

- Potential starting salary range: $42,818.75-$48,000.00
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
