A Brief Overview

The Hunt Flyers Intern will gain exposure to various areas of flight operations and aircraft maintenance. This internship offers the opportunity to learn about various functions of aviation operations, including but not limited to Acquisition and Disposition of Aircraft, Compliance with FAA Requirements, Aircraft Inventory and Logistics, Flight Safety, In-Flight Service, and/or Aviation Mechanics. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals on the aviation team, gaining practical, hands-on experience.

What you will do



  • Works under the mentorship and supervision of experienced aviation professionals.
  • Gains a working understanding of flight operations, including aircraft maintenance and management.
  • Observes and learns about aircraft and operational readiness.
  • Assists the Aircraft Mechanic in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft and gains exposure to FAA-compliant maintenance practices.
  • Assists with aircraft maintenance documentation, data entry, and parts inventory organization.
  • Assists maintenance technicians with aircraft services to include preflight activities, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Participates in aircraft acquisition, inventory management, and disposition procedures as directed.
  • Assists Senior Captain with safety, logistics, and operational considerations.
  • Assists Director of Flight Operations with duties including, but not limited to, operations, safety, regulatory compliance, and scheduling.
  • Prepares draft reports, presentations, schedules, meeting materials, and other deliverables based on direction from senior staff as well as individual efforts.


Qualifications



  • Current or recent enrollment in an accredited degree program with an emphasis in aviation, planning, infrastructure, transportation, management, project management, or other related area of focus. Required
  • No prior experience is required.
  • Ability to work well within a team and to be proactive in formulating ideas and sharing insights.
  • Enthusiasm and adaptability to handle new and unfamiliar projects.
  • Ability to communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Requires a self-motivated, professional, customer service team player who pays close attention to detail who can work in a fast-paced environment.


You must be able to pass a drug, background screen and physical abilities test/motor vehicle record check (if one is required per the position).
