Aftermarket Sales Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Interact with customers and sales representatives via email and phone to identify parts sales opportunities and upsell when opportunities present.
  • Provide accurate and timely parts quotes for outside sales.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Materials, and Logistics departments to support customer requests for aftermarket/parts sales opportunities.
  • Research archived orders for product definition for quoting, ordering, and manufacturing of requested items.
  • Work with inside sales staff and field sales on technical and pricing matters.
  • Works with production/ aftermarket production employees to minimize costs and achieve schedules.
  • Works with sales, project management, and purchasing to achieve best-quoting practices
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in technical support to sales and engineering or equivalent.
  • Ability to multitask, switching between work activities quickly.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Good mechanical and mathematical aptitudes.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office software programs and equipment.
  • Experience with MRP principles and terminology, including prior use of computer-based bills of material and manufacturing control and planning systems. Prior completion of APICS-related coursework is desirable.
  • Ability to independently perform assignments with instruction only regarding generally expected results. Ability to make decisions independently regarding engineering and drafting methods, often requiring modification/extension of industry-related theories, precepts, and practices.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers,

  • Requirements and progress are to be reviewed a minimum of semi-annually. Accountability for progress towards goals is held jointly by the employee and the supervisor.
  • Continuous development of employee knowledge and skills is required to meet changing industry and job demands, and to prepare the individual for greater responsibility.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
