If you're a Commerical Proposals Professional, we have an exciting opportunity for you! This position has the primary responsibility of organizing, creating and preparing winning new business proposals to external customers, ensuring timeliness and accuracy, and compliance to company policies. What you Will Be Doing:
- Receive, understand, and independently dissect the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI) requirements. Assemble proposal team based on initial review of RFP/RFI and by coordinating with the Sales Account Manager, Product Line Manager(s), PMO, Legal, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, A&T, and Others, as needed
- Issue detailed review assignments with little to no direction for each document of the RFP/RFI to each functional group on the proposal team with specific completion dates which meet proposal request timelines
- Assist in arranging and holding Gate 599 Bid/No-Bid, and Phase 600 Proposal Kick Off Meetings. Develop initial proposal compliance matrices against customer requirements with input from subject matter experts
- Drive the development of proposal strategies and themes with the proposal team. Ensure proposal strategy and formal response is evaluated by independent reviewers and internal non-advocates
- Guide a Proposal Management Schedule that meets the customer need date and ensures proposal strategies, themes and input from all relevant stakeholders are reflected in the proposal
- Mentor proposal team members about upcoming proposal development and submission deadlines throughout the proposal effort
- Ensure reviews confirm ability to meet product life cycle (PLC) Deliverables throughout the proposal development via the PLC processes (Tech Review, Collaborate to Cost Review, Non-Recurring Engineering Review, Financial Model Review, etc.). Ensure proposal strategy and formal response is evaluated by independent reviewers and internal non-advocates
- Evaluates the proposal strategy and responds with content from a customer and competitor perspective
- Review completed storyboards and proposal sections to address customer requirements and requested scope and format
- Coordinate with contracts administration/legal to review any FAR requirements and facilitate a compliant resolution. Provide guidance to subject matter experts on proposal content to be consistent with FAR requirements and support a commercial assertion, if applicable
- Write proposal narrative with previous boilerplate information incorporating the value proposition provided by other team members to ensure the proposal has consistent themes and cohesive material, while adhering to the business unit's proposal format standards
- Monitor status of proposal development-related documents for completeness, timeliness, compliance with RFP/RFI requirements, inclusion of win themes and discriminators, and is consistent with company branding. Maintain records and files of work and revisions. Integrate Management, Technical, Commercial and other proposal volumes into a complete proposal submittal package
- Arrange internal approval Gate Reviews early enough to allow for proposal refinements prior to the proposal due date
- Ensure that Gate Review comments and conditions of approval are reflected in the final proposal submission and approval documentation file
- Solicit formal gate approvals per the PLC process and follow up as needed to ensure approval documentation is in place and that the proposal is submitted on time
- Contemplate preferences or concerns amongst the stakeholders and engage prior to the Gate Review
- Manage, maintain, and store proposal manager deliverables in the appropriate location to comply with the PLC

Education:
- UNITED STATES\US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
Experience:
- Experience required with proposal activity involving engineered products
- Proposal Management preferred
- Aerospace Commercial & Defense Industry experience preferred
- Experience writing competitive bids is a plus
