ACTS - Aviation Security has an immediate full-time opening for a Jr Accountant.

This newly created role, reporting to the Corporate Controller, will be responsible for maintaining office activities and serving as the primary support and back up role to the Accounting Team and Payroll Manager.

Job Summary: Maintain office activities and assist the Accounting Team and Payroll Manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assist with AP and AR duties
  • Assist with assigned accounting functions
  • Responsible for developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office
  • Ensure filing systems are maintained and current
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory


Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills and errands
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Manage executives' schedules, calendars and appointments
  • Assist in Ad'hoc accounting and office duties
  • Train and serve as payroll backup.


Education:



  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance required.


Work Experience:

* Ability to plan & organize work schedules, establish workload priorities and perform assigned tasks in a timely manner.

* Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures

* Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* Strong organizational and planning skills

* Proficient in MS Office, particularly strong Excel and analytical skills

* Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures

* Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures

* Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures

* Knowledge of business and management principles

* Computer skills and knowledge of Ultimate (UltiPro/UKG) software preferred.

Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

Language / Communication Skills:



  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and disclose data in an accurate manner
