Key Responsibilities: * Schedule surgeries and procedures based on physician availability, operating room schedules, and patient needs. * Coordinate pre-operative testing, clearances, and documentation. * Communicate with patients regarding surgery dates, instructions, and necessary preparations. * Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations or referrals. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the scheduling system and patient charts. * Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care. * Respond to inquiries from patients, physicians, and staff in a timely and professional manner. * Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or medical office certification preferred. * Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or scheduling role, preferably in a surgical setting. * Knowledge of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and insurance processes. * Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software. * Strong organizational and multitasking skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Preferred Skills: * Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. * 6-8 cases a week Skills * nextgen, medical assistant, surgery scheduler Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
