Responsibilities



  • Designs fixtures, jigs, process tooling, and process flow diagrams while performing and managing Failure Mode and Effects Reviews (FMEA) and Process Hazard Evaluations (PHA) to ensure safe and effective processes.
  • Tests and validates new and improved processes through data collection, trials, and statistical review, supporting the transition of these processes to production with detailed control plans and documentation.
  • Collaborates with the sales team to create, evaluate, design, and test new materials or product configurations aimed at reducing costs and meeting market needs.
  • Provides day-to-day technical support for packaging line and clay processing operations by investigating product non-conformances, conducting root cause reviews, and managing corrective actions.
  • Assists in setting up preventive maintenance schedules and documenting procedures for new or modified equipment to ensure smooth and reliable operations.
  • Supports project management activities by helping define project scope and goals, estimating costs, and coordinating with other departments to successfully execute project deliverables.
  • Ensures all work complies with Clariant's corporate guidelines and regulatory requirements related to safety, sustainability, and maintenance across two production plants.



Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Process, Controls, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is highly desirable
