Job Description:

The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP), Corporate, plays a key role in the success of Bristow by effectively supporting the corporate functions of the business and developing and implementing the strategic HR policies to serve the organizational needs. The HRBP ensures that a high-quality HR function that reflects the needs of the business while recognizing the importance of employee contribution to the business achieving high performance is delivered. Key clients include IT, Finance, Tax, Decision Support, Internal Audit, Treasury, Legal, and Safety. The HRBP is responsibilities for the full talent management life cycle including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, compliance, and training and development in addition to support and implementation of other key and strategic HR initiatives.

The position reports directly to the Director HR Americas Corporate and Talent Management.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver HR guidance and consultation services to all corporate functions, with a focus on IT, Finance, Tax, Decision Support, Internal Audit, Treasury, Legal, and Safety, through building strong relationships with staff
  • Advise managers with all employee relations issues including current employment legislation impacts and current disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Provide independent counselling to employees and managers to resolve work related problems in relation to performance or discipline-based issues
  • Develop and nurture employee talent by actively contributing to performance management and talent management programs
  • Ensure the talent acquisition process supports the acquisition of key and high performing talent with a fast paced and cost-effective delivery
  • Develop and provide realistic job previews for incoming talent and assess talent by coaching management on the talent acquisition process and interview techniques as required
  • Provide managers with the necessary metrics to ensure they are aware of how their area of responsibility is performing, e.g., turnover reports, absence statistics, etc.
  • Ensure all pre-employment tasks and paperwork are completed including offer letters, background checks, drug screens etc.
  • Organize and manage all Houston based inductions
  • Assist with workforce planning for corporate functions
  • Assist with budget information as appropriate
  • Work with HRSS to ensure that workforce tracking is accurate and up to date
  • Lead or assist on key projects by openly contributing ideas and providing required data to project team members
  • Support compensation and benefit projects for area of responsibility
  • Support U.S. Human Resource Compliance assessment and program compliance to include and not limited to ensuring that new and updated policies and procedures are compliant with local laws and communicated effectively to all staff in areas of responsibility
  • Ensure that human resources services are provided in compliance with Company established system policies, procedures, and practices
  • Oversee the implementation of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs and initiatives

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related field is required
  • PHR / SPHR preferred

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner, 2-3 of which for corporate roles), providing broad generalist HR advice.
  • A strong team player
  • Experience in working with different global locations and with different cultures preferred
  • A proven background in providing broad generalist HR advice including policy implementation, and compensation/benefits
  • Experienced in providing support to managers particularly with employee relations, discipline and grievances, talent acquisition, and performance management
  • Experience in coaching and providing training for employees
  • Project Management
  • HRIS experience is essential
  • Demonstrate a real understanding of business issues
  • Experience of working with change management projects desirable
  • Succession Planning and Learning and development experience desirable

Skills:

  • Excellent Presentations Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Microsoft Office, Excel and PPT
  • Detail conscious

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels including with leadership and management
