Aon Is Looking For A Resource Manager

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Associate Service Center within Aon Risk Solutions in Lincolnshire, IL. As a Resource Manager, you will report directly to the Director of ACS Client Services and lead the workflow of a team of 8-10 specialists as well as workflow related to a captive client.

What the day will look like:

  • Works effectively with internal clients to solve business issues using relevant resources, tools and systems.
  • Schedule and organizes personnel to accommodate workflow; distributes work assignments to specialists based on specific levels of expertise.
  • Assist specialists in developing effective relationships. Coordinate activities with other internal units as required to meet customer expectations.
  • Provide direction and guidance to team members who are confronted with unfamiliar or sophisticated client issues.
  • Participate in office and client visits/calls. Participate in the development of client solutions with Associate Director, Director, Client, Account Executives and Account Managers.
  • Routinely confers with the team to ensure they are properly supported and provided with appropriate tools and training. Develop, recommend, implement, and interpret client service procedures; evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of current operations and systems.
  • Addresses unusual or difficult inquiries/situations through direct personal action or refer to the appropriate individuals; research sophisticated issues and handles to their resolution.
  • Uses knowledge and independent judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps that vary in nature and sequence.
  • Communicates clearly with internal customers
  • Demonstrates technical competency

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • The position requires at least 3-5 years of insurance experience (Commercial Insurance a plus)
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft applications.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to successfully interact with internal & external customers, peers and management.
  • Possess excellent organizational & project management skills in order to plan team deliverables and work to deadlines.
  • Be a leader, a decision maker and able to cope under pressure
  • Work optimally with the rest of the office Management team
  • Understand the impact of operational/business strategy and operational plans
  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and display initiative
  • Be committed to their own continuous personal developments and development of the staff
  • Be focused on client service needs in order to achieve client service excellence
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate/Bachelor's Degree preferred

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $80,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
