All about the role:

The Shipping Dock Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate loading of products for delivery. This position works closely with the shipping group leader, dispatcher, and loading team to coordinate daily operations and maintain high standards of safety and productivity.

You will be based in our Fletcher, NC location. This shift will start at 3:00pm and end 11:00pm Monday-Friday. This role supports the production line and will follow production's needs.

Your main tasks:

  • Ensure all dock safety procedures and inspections are completed.

  • Review daily wave sheets and develop a sorting plan in collaboration with the shipping group leader.

  • Coordinate with the shipping group leader to ensure pallets are scanned and placed in designated loading areas.

  • Verify pallets are sorted by customer, purchase order (PO), load number, carrier, and pro number.

  • Work with the dispatcher to assign trailers and dock doors.

  • Coordinate live load activities with dispatchers.

  • Ensure live load trailers are loaded promptly, with a maximum dwell time of one hour.

  • Guide the loading team on load readiness and dock door assignments. Assist in truck loading as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Ability to think critically and anticipate potential issues.

  • Forklift experience or demonstrated ability operate equipment safely.

  • Previous experience on a loading or receiving dock preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.

  • Flexible and adaptable to change.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift packages 35 lbs. or less on a consistent basis.

  • Ability to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.

  • Ability to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending and to spend extended periods of time sitting.
