Tessera's U.S. Air Force Academy's (USAFA)Ops Engineer Manager leads all aspects of the OPS Engineering team including work control (requirements), optimization, and logistic sections to ensure full program success across all flights. Productivity, workplace safety, customer satisfaction, and the team's success is dependent on the leadership team position's efforts. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Core Leadership Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of AbilityOne and SourceAmerica programs.
- Uphold and embody Tessera's core values.
- Align team goals with Tessera's value proposition, ensuring highly engaged employees contribute to customer satisfaction.
- Identify and mitigate safety hazards on job sites through effective risk controls and utilize Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).
- Conduct root cause analyses to promote a safe working environment and maintain adherence to Tessera's Accident Reporting process.
- Foster positive client interactions using effective interpersonal skills, demonstrating respect, empathy, and responsiveness.
Work Management:
- Lead and continually improve the end-to-end work management processes.
- Collaborate with site, corporate, and client teams to enhance processes through innovation and best practices.
- Understand tasks related to shop and technician duties, particularly in mobile applications.
Asset Management:
- Oversee the Asset Management Plan (AMP), ensuring full asset inventory, condition capture, and effective use of systems like SMS (Sustained Maintenance Solutions).
- Manage recap projects and other actions to enhance asset value.
Reliability:
- Analyze critical assets and optimize PM (Preventive Maintenance) strategies to resolve reliability and safety issues, utilizing root cause analysis.
Information management:
- Deploy effective Business Intelligence dashboards and reports to ensure timely information flow to key user groups.
Qualifications:
- Education: BA/BS in Maintenance Technology, Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a similar field required.
- Experience: 5-8 years in facility management and maintenance, with direct experience in Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force domains preferred.
- Equivalent combination of experience and education accepted.
- Professional Licenses and Certifications: Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) preferred. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado is highly desirable.
