Under the leadership of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Student Success, the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success (OUESS) enriches undergraduate education and empowers students to succeed. We engage in collaborative development and delivery of transformative learning experiences, and we continuously pursue initiatives to foster success for all students. Academic Success and Advising (ASA), a unit of the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success (OUESS), is where students take academic success to the next level. ASA services support undergraduate students in achieving their academic goals through a range of both personalized and campus-wide initiatives that foster self-regulated learning, enhance academic skills, and support intellectual development within Georgia Tech's undergraduate education. Within ASA and reporting to the Director of Retention and Completion Initiatives, the EOMI (Academic Coach) will contribute to our undergraduate Academic Coaching program to support a regular caseload of students experiencing academic difficulty. The EOMI (Academic Coach) is expected to: Foster the development of students' skills, behaviors, and habits that contribute to success in college and beyond and help students to identify and overcome obstacles that impede academic success. Assist students to develop self-efficacy by identifying and overcoming obstacles that may be impeding academic success; motivate students to practice self-regulation and to take ownership of their academic success. Help students identify, develop, and implement learning strategies and study skills specific to course materials. Refer students to appropriate academic personnel and support resources, collaborating with others as necessary to monitor and accelerate the academic progress of referred students. Maintain and monitor a caseload of first time in college, probationary, and transfer students; monitor the progress of caseload students via check-ins, scheduled meetings, proactive outreach, and regular communication. Collect, input, analyze, and interpret data as required. Collaborate with others as necessary at team meetings, presentations, and trainings. Create and develop relevant course material for workshops, and other programming for students. May assist with teaching and facilitating success seminars in our academic recovery initiatives. May present workshops and other forms of outreach. As needed, participate in new student orientation, special summer programming for target student groups, and various university activities. Note on working time This position must be available to work standard GT business hours M-F, 8-5 (or 7-4 or 9-6), as well as some evenings and weekends based on student programming needs, with advance notice. Job Summary
Develop and coordinate the implementation of programs designed to promote the Institute to target audiences of potential and enrolled students and other groups thereby encouraging their enrollment and retention at the Institute and/or a program within the Institute. Efforts include program needs assessment, concept definition, program development, marketing and evaluation. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: target group prospects and students, institutional and program administrators, Institute faculty and staff. Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Analyze outreach objectives and assess needs in the way of program components and resources.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS This job requires a working knowledge of marketing and educational outreach related program planning and design, especially as it relates to assigned target group of potential and/or enrolled students. Also required are skills in maintaining a detail orientation, organization, presentation, customer relations and communications.
