Position Highlights

The School of Landscape Architecture and Planning invites applicants for the position of Lecturer in the Sustainable Built Environments and Bachelor and Master of Landscape Architecture programs.
We are seeking qualified candidates who can work with a diverse population of students and colleagues, and who have experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.

Candidates should be able to teach landscape architectural design studios at all levels for undergraduate and graduate students.

This instructor will teach one or more of the following courses in the BLA and MLA programs:



  • Beginning, intermediate, and/or advanced design studios
  • Landscape Analysis
  • General education courses (main campus and online)

This career-track appointment is not eligible for tenure.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teaching and preparation for the assigned
    course(s), as required.
  • Participation as a member of the
    Faculty of Landscape Architecture by attending relevant meetings.
  • Minor
    service responsibilities to the school.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in landscape
    architecture.
  • Experience in landscape
    architectural professional practice.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional licensure in landscape architecture.
  • Successful college or university teaching experience.
  • Experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
