AEGIS Specialist, Senior

The Opportunity:

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.

As a AEGIS Specialist, you'll bring your Navy Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) expertise to work on projects to improve the tactical readiness of forward deployed and rotationally deployed surface ships. You'll provide analytic support to answer requests for information and request for analysis to address new threat assessments or changes in weapons employment.You'll work with technical, analytical, and other operational organizations to develop response products. You'll be a trusted advisor to our customers, and we'll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes related to BMD and IAMD tactics. You'll augment a team that provides direct support to Navy ships at sea conducting operations around the world.

You'll guide the work we do in support of surface ship deployed operations and the solutions we deliver for BMD and IAMD tactical development.

You served your country as a seasoned Surface Warfare Officer - now continue your mission with us. Further your career with us as you help solve complex design, integration, and analytical problems for the surface navy.

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience in industry, military, or government with surface Navy combat system, C5I, tactical networks, weapons systems, and IAMD planning tools and systems

  • 5+ years of experience serving on BMD or IAMD warfare platforms such as cruisers, destroyers, or frigates

  • Experience as a qualified Navy watchstander with the authority to employ the AEGIS weapons system, including as a Tactical Action Officer (TAO), Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC), or Battle Watch Captain (BWC)

  • Experience with post-weapons firing mission analysis of AEGIS weapon systems

  • Ability to get underway on U.S. Navy ships

  • Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations up to 25% of the time

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • TAO or BMD Watch Officer Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience working on an Echelon III or above staff

  • Experience as an afloat Executive Officer or afloat Operations, Combat Systems, or C5I Department Head

  • Experience developing tactical memorandum, Navy-Wide Operational Tasks (OPTASKS), Battle Orders, Class Tactical Publications, or Fleet Advisory Messages

  • TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
