Position Title: Audio Visual Technician
Division: Advancia Government Services
Location: Fort Leonard Wood, MO
Position Summary:
The Audio Visual Technician will perform multiple functions at Fort Leonard Wood including but not limited to, providing day to day IT and AV support to client, maintaining and operating AV systems, providing upgrades to systems, training room and field AV support
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordination with the Command Information Center for Video Teleconferences
- Set up audio visual support for Senior Mentor Conferences and Workshops
- Set up audio visual support for all Training Audience Planning Conferences and Seminar Classes, After Action Reviews (AARs), and Media Engagement Events.
- Responsible for operating and maintaining Video Teleconference ("VTC") Polycom and Audiovisual system infrastructure equipment.
- Provide Tier I/Tier II technical support and assistance for classroom, training area and conference room VTC suites and Audiovisual systems
- Set up classrooms and conference areas for training, which will require the movement and placement of furniture (chairs, tables, projectors, computers, cables, audio video equipment, etc.)
- Produce and edit still photography, full motion video products, and other digital training products and packages that can be used by the Army for training purposes.
- Proficient with Adobe CSS Suite, Microsoft Office, and proven experience working with video editing software, operating digital video cameras
- Production, pre-production, and post-production work (Filming/Recording, Scripting/Storyboarding, and Video/Audio editing).
- Provide VTC and Audiovisual technical support over the phone to users experiencing equipment problems and onsite support for events
Education & Experience Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High School graduate; Associates or Bachelors' degree in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent discipline a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Prior experience supporting Army or Department of Defense a plus
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- A+ certification for Information Assurance Technical Level I (IAT-I) or higher highly desired
- Must be comfortable working within a dynamic work environment
- 2 years' experience or equivalent working with and performing essential duties and tasks of the contract.
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:
- Some walking and standing required. You may have to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books, tools, computers, modems) weighing approximately 10-25 pounds
- Most of the work is done indoors
- Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend
- Must be able to work with others
