Description

  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of job specific HSSE training and refresher requirements to assure regulatory requirements are met and KNA is moving to organizational SHE excellence through industry best practices. Assist in the development and development of training progression plans for all SHE department personnel.
  • Assist HSSE leadership in the creation of site -wide effective HSSE training programs
  • Provide support and assistance as needed to the HSSE team in the development and expansion of the site HSSE / PSM program, training and system /processes and auditing program.
  • Perform HSSE procedure audits to assure they are correct, up to date and meet regulatory requirement, Kaneka corporate standards and are moving KNA to HSSE excellence with industry best practices.
  • Assist in development and mentorship of HSSE team employees specifically in areas of Leadership, communication and presentation delivery.
  • Complete field permit audits of Safe Work, Hot Work and confined Space entry permits.
  • Create and manage a systematic process for the annual review / updating / training for all of our site HSSE Procedures.
  • Collaborate with L&E team to conduct annual reviews and modifications to our site computer-based training (CVT)Assist Safety Technicians in the field as needed.
  • Serve as a mentor in the field to current Safety Technicians
  • Develop and conduct HSSE training to site personnel as required
  • IH program management working knowledge and system administration. Chemical exposure risk mitigation and roll out plan implementation preferred.
  • Steward communications for the Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Departments which includes (but is not limited to):
  • Converting visions into visual aids and training presentations
  • Asist in development of site wide HSSE communications (e.g. safety bulletins) in collaboration with HSSE leadership
  • Assist in implementation and upkeep of new incident management and EH&S software

Education
Bachelors of Occupational Safety (required)
Experience
5 - 7 years: Health & Safety within a chemical manufacturer or refinery (required)
