Overview:

  • Help organize Nationwide Children's Columbus Marathon fundraising and stewardship events. Provide support at Memorial Tournament donor events and Benefit Concert.
  • Manage the recruitment and training of hospital volunteers for the Marathon. Create and distribute volunteer communications.
  • Manage Children's Champions fundraising program including recruitment, stewardship, and retention. Master Peer-to-Peer fundraising platform.
  • Manage Mile Champion Patient program including nominations process.Coordinate and attend photography sessions, communications, social media, and race-weekend logistics.
  • Assist with Planned Giving, Major Gift and Donor Relations teams events.
  • Work with vendors and provide on-site coordination.
  • Cultivate and maintain a good working relationship with a variety of people.

Job Description Summary:

May coordinate events, fundraising campaigns, volunteer groups and programs, manage relationships, and oversee fundraising databases and reporting. Will require occasional evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with donors and sponsors.
  • Prepares reports on foundation activities and outcomes.
  • Collaborates with team members to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Ensures compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, required.

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable with people of all ages and backgrounds. Must be equally comfortable with public speaking and one-on-one communication.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, devotion to hospital mission and on-going personal education and development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to be a team player and display diplomacy/political savvy.
  • Ability to be entrusted with personal and confidential information and make ethical decisions.

Experience:

One year of fund-raising, sales or relevant experience, preferred.
