Senior Software Developer

Are you a Python developer passionate about building scalable, cloud-native solutions in support of mission-driven work? NS2 Mission is currently seeking a driven and skilled Software Developer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in Python development and demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role requires familiarity with containerization, orchestration technologies, and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices. A solid understanding of data processing workflows, particularly the full ETL lifecycle, is essential. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in Agile development environments and contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline (or additional specialized experience in lieu of a degree)
• Proven experience writing production-ready Python code
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, EKS, Lambda, and other core components
• Strong understanding of the ETL lifecycle, including design, development, and maintenance of ETL systems
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with deployment and operations in production environments
• Experience working with large-scale data and optimizing performance in high-volume systems
• Proficiency with Agile project management and collaboration tools, such as Jira and Confluence

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams

TS/SCI with FSP
