Department Summary Vision Position Overview The Supplier Management Specialist performs journey level supplier management work. Responsible for validating supplier information and creating and maintaining supplier database for Procurement. Aptitude for creating reliable lines of communication with Department personnel to ensure all supplier information is accurately reflected in our ERP system so that Supplier payments can be paid accurately and in line with State and University policies and guidelines. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related business field of study or four years of experience in Accounts Payable or related field or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Thorough knowledge of or ability to quickly learn applicable laws, codes, regulations, standards, methods and practices related to Supplier Management Preferred Qualifications Comprehensive understanding of PeopleSoft or large ERP experience Higher Education or State of Texas experience. One year experience with Jaggaer and/or PaymentWorks systems. One year of experience of previous Supplier Management experience. Required License/Registration/Certifications Job Duties:
