Description & Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented technician to support data analysis efforts in a collaborative research environment. In this role, you will assist with routine processing and exploration of biological datasets and contribute to the preparation and organization of data for downstream analysis. This position is ideal for someone with basic programming skills and an interest in biomedical data who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a research setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in running established scripts and tools to process and analyze biological datasets (e.g., gene expression, sequencing data).
  • Generate summary statistics, plots, and reports under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Contribute to basic data visualization and interpretation tasks.
  • Help maintain organized records of datasets, file structures, and analysis outputs.
  • Perform routine data quality checks and flag inconsistencies for review.
  • Support data upload, formatting, and organization on cloud platforms or internal servers as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline).
  • Basic familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R.
  • Interest in learning data analysis tools and techniques in a life sciences context.
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Prior experience working with large datasets is a plus but not required.
