Job Description

At Vio, we believe that powerful change happens when science, strategy, and creativity come together. We translate knowledge into action - crafting tailored, compelling content that resonates with healthcare professionals, patients, and stakeholders alike. If you're passionate about healthcare, fluent in science, and energized by collaboration, this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We're looking for an Associate Medical Director to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in helping us deliver accurate, strategic, and engaging communications that drive real behavior change and improve health outcomes.

What You'll Do

As an Associate Medical Director, you'll apply your clinical or scientific expertise to support the development of brand strategy and content. With the support of senior medical leadership, you'll grow your strategic thinking, deepen your therapeutic knowledge, and help shape scientific storytelling across client projects.

You will:

  • Develop a strong understanding of assigned brands, therapeutic areas, and the competitive landscape.

  • Support the creation of scientifically accurate, audience-relevant content across a wide variety of formats and platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the creative development process, contributing to content strategy, storytelling, and execution.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet high standards for accuracy, relevance, and strategic alignment.

  • Participate in medically focused client interactions, helping to build credibility and trust.

  • Support new business pitches, conducting research, identifying the "medical hook," and helping develop pitch materials.

  • Stay current on relevant literature, emerging data, and key industry developments to inform both internal and client-facing perspectives.

What You Bring
  • An advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in a clinical or scientific field.

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in medical communications, healthcare marketing, or a related industry.

  • The ability to translate complex science into clear, compelling narratives for different audiences.

  • Familiarity with key medical research tools (e.g., PubMed, clinicaltrials.gov, GlobalData).

  • A strong sense of curiosity, attention to detail, and eagerness to grow your strategic and communication skills.

  • Experience with content development (slides, scripts, summaries, congress reports, etc.) and a solid understanding of how scientific content fits into broader brand strategy.

  • Comfortable participating in client meetings, internal reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.

Why Vio?

At Vio, we elevate ideas into ideals. We:

  • Align science, strategy, and creativity to deliver content that's accurate, compelling, and behavior-changing.

  • Tailor solutions to each client's needs, combining innovation and insight to drive results.

  • Design experiences that engage the right audiences at the right time - with precision and purpose.

  • Power forward as part of the IPG Health network, giving you access to the brightest minds in healthcare communications.

You'll join a team that's collaborative, curious, and committed to doing work that matters. And you'll have the support to keep learning, growing, and building your career.

If you're ready to make an impact - let's talk.
