Job Summary Essential Duties and Responsibilities With direction from corporate and the regional leadership, executes the deployment, adoption and application of Behr's annual Strategic Deployment Plan (SDP) using the tools and processes to full potential. Develop skills and abilities to uphold the organizational strategy on lean thinking, continuous improvement processes and principles of our company Execute sales strategies, market penetration, growth initiatives and region-specific marketing by building and maintaining relationships with key customers and direct sales representatives. Monitor, guide, and coach sales team to achieve business targets, improve selling skills (strategic and tactical) and build sustainable customer relationships. Analyze sales against defined metrics, goals and objectives. Use established data methods to evaluate business health with the objective to attain optimal growth & sustainment; tracks progress against improvement activities as needed for the region and individual team members. Foster a collaborative environment with internal and external team members to drive consistent sales growth Supply regional sales information to the forecasting process and make recommendations to strategic plans, find opportunities, and implement change. Assemble and evaluate channel related market data communicate findings with leadership. Abide by all company policies and procedures and maintain a safe and ethical work environment Responsible for hiring and retention of sales team through on-boarding, coaching, mentoring, development and performance management. Leads a team of 10 to 18 sales reps within designated geographic region. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience in related field. Experience of successful sales or sales management within the coatings industry. Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, meet and maintain the Company motor vehicle policy. Must be able to work all shifts including weekend and holiday hours. Travel up to 50% to include overnight travel required depending on geographic territory. Manage team's motor vehicle, time keeping, and expense reporting according to company policy. Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Performs other duties as required. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis and cost control practices. Validated record of achievement in a prior sales position is required. Collaborative and trustworthy team builder, exhibiting the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior. Strong communication skills, service oriented, is perceptive and actively looks for ways to help others. Has excellent interpersonal skills with a performance history of building positive partnerships while working collaboratively with cross-functional business units and internal and external customers. Track record of organizing and prioritizing work successfully using project management and change management skills. Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills. Proficient knowledge of MSA Office Suites and/or IOS software applications related to job functions Proficient in using CRM systems to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and creating reports to communicate the actions needed to improve performance relative to the goals of the system and strategy. Ability to speak the prevalent second language in certain geographic regions may be preferred. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
