From your PASSION to ours

Reporting to RSPC Manager the raw material manager's main responsibility is to provide technical analytical support to the Industrial group by supporting plant management and Finance in mass balance and yield data collection, analysis, and optimization. The focus of this position is to eliminate waste with lean principles and Six Sigma methods. This position is also responsible for tracking and reporting all CI project initiatives and progress, daily, weekly, and monthly mass balance results, and implementation of DMS (daily management systems).

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Validate technical and financial liquid material data to ensure composition & weight/volume reconcile. Produce analysis on key performance indicators such as manufacturing production, yield and variances, and trending.
  • Conduct audits on site Mass Balance performance, report findings to site leader with action plans for improvement.
  • Regularly reconcile plant variances and complete period and year-end activities. Generate reports to plant site leader & Industrial group leaders on weekly/monthly frequency.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction programs based on continuous improvements and return on investment capital projects to support the factory growth.
  • Drive technical solutions, new opportunities and create projects that will support the strategic direction of the company. Provide leadership/direction to project teams responsible for execution. Interact with all functional groups to ensure the correct project scope, goals and targets are understood and agreed upon.
  • Facilitates multidisciplinary teams to evaluate processes and systems, generate alternatives and make recommendations to reduce waste, increase utilization, reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction and produce improved financial outcomes. Effectively communicates team recommendations.
  • Uses lean manufacturing tools (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Charters, Hour by Hour, Gemba Walks, Root cause analysis, 5S+1 Audits, etc) to identify issues and develop solutions that drive operational improvement.
  • Lead CI team to implement DMS and related health checks. Provide guidance and support to other departments around DMS.
  • Adhere to all requirements and process changes related to our Daily Management Systems implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Requires theoretical and practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Requires the ability to balance conceptual, "out of the box" thinking with practical, real-world solutions.
  • Knowledge of BOM's, Recipes to provide analysis and support to manufacturing
  • Ability to follow through multiple complex tasks and projects simultaneously.
