Job Description (General Summary)

The Field Installation Coordinator (FIC) will be responsible for developing, along with other Optimization Services Group team members, a definition of projects and installation assignments. The FIC ensures that the project is delivered on time and to the required quality standards provided for each assignment. The FIC is also responsible for managing the work of the provided labor resources (both internal and external) in an efficient manner, while maintaining a motivated and successful project team. Due to the travel requirements, this position can sit anywhere within the United States.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead/Assist on-site visits with customer/end-user to gather necessary project information
  • Initiate and/or attend design review meetings to discuss project existing conditions, recommended modifications for installation scope of work and project planning
  • Provide assistance with project resources to include: manpower recommendations and timeline estimates
  • Manage/Assist project installations as the Intralox on-site representative. This includes but not limited to: project scheduling, training & supervision of contractors/vendors, inventory maintenance
  • Ensure worker safety
  • Complete system testing per Intralox quality standards to obtain customer acceptance
  • Maintain project documentation to include project issues, changes to scope of work and final approvals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Degree in technical field of study (engineering, mechanical, construction, etc.) preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of on-site project management experience
  • High level of mechanical aptitude and ability to articulate mechanical concepts
  • Demonstrated organizational & problem-solving skills related to project installation management
  • Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures, long work hours and adverse conditions
  • Experience in the use of hand & measuring tools
  • Ability to move around facilities and access jobsite equipment locations
  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications
  • Proven ability to read CAD drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Safely work for extended periods of time, mostly standing, well beyond 8hr workday in non-climate controlled environments
  • Lift materials in excess of 50lbs
  • Ability to travel up to 50-60%, providing onsite support during weekends & holidays; as required by customer and/or project schedules

Desired Qualifications:

  • Integrated conveyor systems experience
  • Experience in welding equipment and hot work processes
