Job Summary: The PACE Med-Cal Enrollmt/Marktng Specialist (Program for All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) at Loma Linda University Health is responsible for supporting the outreach manager and promoting and growing our PACE ministry through community contact and integrating Senior Community Care as a vital member of the healthcare and long-term care network. Coordinates the PACE center enrollment and Medi-Cal eligibility process. Travels to participants homes and community events is expected. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors' Degree in Healthcare or Marketing preferred. Minimum one year of marketing, communications, or business development experience required, preferably in the healthcare industry, PACE program, home health, or community-based long-term care setting with the elderly population. Must be able to speak Spanish. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of MediCaid/MediCare eligibility and enrollment processes and procedures. Understanding of physical, mental, and social needs of older adults. Able to type 30 WPM. Read, write legibly, and speak in English and Spanish with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
