Job Description |
Building Hope Community Life Center - 309 West 9th Street, Greenville, NC 28590 - is currently seeking several Federal Work-Study students to serve as The Building Hope Support Staff.
The Building Hope Support Staff plays a vital role in helping Building Hope Community Life Center fulfill its mission by providing general support across afterschool programming, administrative tasks, facility upkeep, and communications. This is an ideal position for students seeking hands-on experience in youth development, nonprofit work, or education. Assignments may include placement in another program or department at Building Hope that best suits the student's interests, skills, or academic focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily afterschool program operations including homework help, reading time, enrichment activities, and snack distribution
- Support administrative needs such as data entry, copying, phone calls, and parent communication
- Help with general cleaning, classroom setup/breakdown, and supply organization
- Capture photos/videos and help draft content for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials
- Provide a welcoming, encouraging environment for children and families
- Participate in special events, workshops, and community outreach activities as needed

Qualifications:
- Enjoys working with children and supporting families
- Reliable, flexible, and professional
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willing to learn and take initiative
- Experience in youth work, office support, or media is a plus (but not required)
