Job Overview:

RWJ Hamilton is looking for a Technical Specialist for the Community Health Department. This individual would be responsible for data entry utilizing the database software of RWJUHH that houses community members information pertaining to disease management, enrollment in classes, programs, screenings, memberships and attendance at special events. In addition this individual will have oversight for the hospital's CBISA management system and the event entry on the hospital s website,

Qualifications:

• High School graduate
• College degree preferred
• Work experience in database and data entry management
• Must have strong working knowledge of database management, strong interpersonal and communication skills,
• Knowledge of medical terminology would be considered an asset,
• Maintains a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed,
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Scheduling Requirements:

• 5 hours a day, 5 days a week
• Days to work
• Part-Time

Essential Functions:

• Compiles and organizes the program subissions from the educators on to a master template for proper entry in to multiple systems
• Enters events and programs on to the RWJUHH website, database system, and room tracking system
• Assures that certain information collected and reported is accurate,
• Enrolls community members in management database system for all RWJUHH programs/classes/events,
• Performs data entry of program satisfaction scores
• Enters community benefit data in to the CBISA system
• Support health education staff,
• Creates all event, programs and screening flier advertisements for the health education staff,
• Provides technical support during community education programs and for outside programs,
• Performs day to day management of room reservations,
• Manages the front desk and the community members in the absence of the office coordinator,
• Directs requests for health information to the proper resource,
• Oversight of volunteers working in Community Education
