Senior Logistics Engineer (C-UAS)

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Secret

TRAVEL:Up to 30%

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Engineer (C-UAS) located in Huntsville, Alabama.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Ability to hold and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 -18 years' experience
  • Travel no more than 30% per year
  • Understanding of CUAS platforms, RF-spectrum analysis, and counter-drone methodologies.
  • Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) Basic or Intermediate Certification in SC Planning, Oversight, and Execution Management, SC Case Life Cycle Management, SC Execution Support Management, or SC Acquisition Management
  • FMS experience: Hands-on experience in FMS logistics or acquisition, including FMS case lifecycle management (from development through execution and closure)
  • DoD Logistics: Experience in the area of logistics planning and support, familiarity with the DoD's military logistics systems and materiel procedures, and experience in DoD property management and ensuring accountability.
  • Program Management Experience: Integrated logistics support (ILS), including performance-based logistics, configuration management, and managing government-furnished material. Experience tracking FMS cases through the development and execution process is often required.
  • Experience supporting ILS Support requests and assisting in planning and preparing agendas and presentations for ILS Interface Working Groups (IWGs), Logistics Readiness Reviews (LRR), and key ILS engagements
  • Strong analytical abilities and working knowledge with FMS processes and systems; including Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM), Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS), Management Information System for International Logistics (MISIL), Security Cooperation Information Portal (SCIP), and the Department of Defense (DoD) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case Execution Phase Transition (CEPT).
  • Knowledge of ILS products, performance-based logistics, configuration management and government-furnished material management.
  • Knowledge of DoD procedures and programs associated with FMS cases, as specified in the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM), including FMS case Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) and the processes for LOA, modification, and amendment development
