This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.

The Associate II, Automation & Control Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks in designing and maintaining automation control systems, focusing on mathematical modeling and control theory to ensure desired system behavior. You will contribute to advanced projects and make significant decisions within your project area. Specifics include:

* Handle complex tasks related to the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of instrument/electrical and automation control systems
* Focus on mathematical modeling of diverse systems, analyzing their dynamic behavior, and using control theory to create controllers
* Contribute to the development of advanced projects, utilizing your growing expertise and problem-solving abilities
* Make significant decisions within your project area, influencing project outcomes
* Stay current with advances in system design, configuration, and automation
* Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training
* Meet individual job requirements and contribute to the overall compliance of the organization by committing to continuous improvement and regulatory adherence

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• 1st Shift 8a to 5p M-F
• Location: On Site

PREFERRED QUALIIFCATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Experience with SAP, MES and/or SCADA is preferred.
