Electrical Technician Job ID JR101953 Date posted 08/07/2025 The Data Science and System Integration (DSSI) Division of the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II) is responsible for ensuring reliable controls and data infrastructure enabling users to perform state-of-the-art experiments at any of our 30 x-ray and infrared beamlines as well as our cryo-electron microscopy facility. The NSLS-II offers the working environment of a large-scale scientific facility, which combines the scope of a large industrial facility with the excitement and challenges of world-class research. Position Description NSLS-II's DSSI is looking for a qualified electrical technician. In this role, you will perform electrical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting tasks to ensure robust operations and expand experimental capabilities. The NSLS-II offers the working environment of a large-scale scientific facility, combining the scope of a large industrial facility with the excitement and challenges of world-class science. This position has a high level of interaction with an international and multicultural scientific community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
