The opportunity

Academic Dean, Online Product Health

As the Academic Dean of Online Product Health you will manage the vision, strategic leadership needed for growing an assigned online academic portfolio of Southern New Hampshire University's online Global Campus (GC). You will lead the health, relevance, and performance of academic programs through interdepartmental and university-wide collaboration for product development, product content, program management, and subject matter expert management.

Reporting to the Academic Associate Vice Present, Business and STEM Programs, you will lead a team of Senior Associate Deans.

What you'll do:

Strategic Leadership & Cross-Team Alignment

  • Set vision, strategy, and direction, while developing online academic portfolio action plans for execution and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead interdepartmental and university-wide collaboration ensuring agreement across delivery modalities

Program Health & Lifecycle Management

  • Optimize online program performance, including student outcomes, retention, and engagement.
  • Lead the systematic application of data-driven evaluations and decisions to assess program
  • Critically assess the quality and integrity of academic programs to ensure their compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and internal requirements, and with professional expectations for graduates in the respective fields.
  • Consult on maximizing student success, and graduation rates through best-practice development, data-informed approaches, and partner-aligned initiative implementation.

Product Development & Innovation

  • Guide new program development according to institutional strategy and market demand.
  • Ensure technology and learning tools support curriculum delivery and student success.
  • Maintain a national presence within higher education.
  • Consult on R&D efforts related to new model development.

People Leadership & Subject Matter Expert (SME) Engagement

  • Build strong leaders who model university shared values, skills, cultural norms, and behaviors.

Leadership of Academic Strategy Implementation

  • Build a culture within the Academic Programs team that supports the systematic application of data-informed decision-making.
  • Consult on an Academic Programs audit function to assure ongoing compliance with its policies, protocols, and requirements.
  • Consult on reporting and documentation efforts across Academic Programs.
  • Consult on the assessment of operationalized efforts including projects to ensure the appropriate use of resources.
  • Consult on the implementation of governance systems.

Academic Program Infrastructure & Policy Development

  • Lead regulatory compliance, accreditation reporting, and governance protocols.

What we're looking for:

  • At least 8 years of progressively increasing leadership roles in higher education administration.
  • Terminal degree in a Business related field or terminal degree in Higher Education Leadership with a graduate degree in a Business related field.
  • Experience driving important student success metrics and elevating institutional performance in higher education.
  • Demonstrated accomplishment in the administration of online degree programs, with a focus on measurable, student-centered outcomes.
  • Experience managing budgets and leading complex, multi-partner projects to successful completion.
  • Experience meeting compliance standards of state, regional, and national accreditation bodies.
  • Educational strategy development, Opportunity strategy creation, Evidence-based decision-making

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $110,590.00 - $176,978.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $122,202.00 - $165,333.00.
