We are looking for a highly motivated Workday Intern to support our Human Capital Management (HCM) or Finance systems team within our banking organization. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work with Workday, a leading cloud-based enterprise platform, and gain exposure to HR and financial processes in a regulated financial services environment.

Monday - Friday

8:00am - 5:00pm

Function: Works under the direction of department management, in a capacity of departmental backup and support, performing assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the creation of a centralized repository of system codes and definitions.

  • Assist with organizing reports and their documentation.

  • Assist with evaluating the usage of reports and discontinuing reports that are no longer needed.

  • Possess a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Operates PC equipment as needed to process information, prepare reports and perform research.

  • Occasionally travels to various locations; valid driver's license required.

  • Performs research and/or analysis on special projects, as assigned.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees.

  • Assist with day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting within Workday HCM.

  • Support the HRIS team by validating data, generating Workday reports, and ensuring data integrity across employee records.

  • Participate in the documentation and testing of new Workday functionality, system updates, and release management cycles.

  • Help resolve system-related issues and service tickets, collaborating with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders.

  • Assist with compliance reporting, audit checks, and internal controls relevant to banking regulations.

  • Work on process improvement initiatives and provide support during Workday implementations or enhancements.

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.

  • Performs additional duties as required.

Education:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent education. In pursuit of a four-year degree in data science, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, finance, accounting, economics, business, or related.

Experience:

Up to one-year general experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

Use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 60% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Occasional travel may be required.
