How you will make history here...

Seeking an energetic and passionate problem solver to lead the continuous improvement process in soup operations by engaging in activities that add value to plant safety, product quality, and conversion cost. Utilize practical continuous improvement tools to address and identify performance issues and find ways to run processes more efficiently with less waste. Work closely with all plant personnel to lead change.

What you will do...

  • 50% - TDC Reduction - including analyzing manufacturing systems, activities to reduce downtime, identifying and eliminating of bottlenecks, expense cost reduction, material yield improvement, enabler program support, staffing optimization, kaizen event facilitation, work measurement studies, etc.
  • 10% - Daily Direction Setting (DDS) and team support
  • 10% - Maintain plant budget and reliability standards, including SAP budget and production routes, scrap standards, crewing standards, etc.
  • 5% - Capital project justification
  • 5% - Budgeting and standards setting
  • 5% - Miscellaneous economic analysis studies to support decision making
  • 5% - TPM tool implementation (5s, Centerline, AM, etc)
  • 5% - Keeping abreast of current technology, labor standards, and manufacturing improvements
  • 5% - KPI reporting and communication
  • Other duties as assigned

You will work with all employees in the plant.

What you bring to the table (must have) ...

  • BS Engineering
  • 2 years minimum experience (internships and co-ops will be considered)

It would be great to have (nice to have)...

  • Balance daily tactical needs along with allocating time to strategic, long-term continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with all levels and be comfortable working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to initiate continuous improvement practices in the factory
  • Ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated problems
  • Willingness and flexibility to work off-shifts with short notice as needed
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Experience and passion for introducing new technology and techniques
  • Self-starter with minimum direction required to make significant improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Can comfortably communicate with personnel at all levels
  • Power user of Microsoft suite of software including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Knowledge of TPM tools (Lean, 6 Sigma, Autonomous Maintenance, 5S, Centerline, Kaizen), Data Analysis, Root Cause Problem Solving. Experience in Zarpac downtime data collection, SAP, Mini-Miint, Computer Simulation, and work measurement techniques.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$78,000-$112,100

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
