Description
To supervise and manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable function for US. To support the US Finance Director is ensuring the US finance department runs smoothly and efficiently.

Job Details

Role Specific Responsibilities:
Technical:
  • Manage AP/AR team and organize workloads
  • To ensure all processes abide by company policy
  • Oversee weekly AP pay runs
  • Automate cash application process to reduce manual transactions
  • Manage customer and vendor queries
  • Manage travel card program
  • Forecast weekly cash payments
  • Monitor and reconcile GRNI
  • Alignment of PO processes across the region for enhanced efficiency and accuracy in accounting
  • Partner with Purchasing to improve supplier terms
  • Manage the effective collection of cash, supporting the team to resolve irregularities and disputes
  • Monitor credit review and credit hold activities
  • Other duties as required

Business Improvement:
  • Active participation in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
  • Participate in continuing professional education opportunities
  • To support the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members
  • To drive improvement in NWC, negotiating terms and improving payment processes

Compliance:
  • Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
  • Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
  • Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times

Problem Solving and Innovation:
  • Active participation in continuous improvement activities
  • Participates in problem-solving
  • Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
  • Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members
  • Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance

Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or business-related field preferred

Experience:
  • 5 years or equivalent demonstrable experience in an Accounts Payable/Accounts receivable environment
  • 2 years' experience leading a team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to flex own style as needed to influence and drive results
  • Ability to work within a multi-functional, global organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities which allow assessments of situations and opportunities
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Excellent proficiency within Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
