  • At least 7 years of directly related experience

    • An advanced degree may substitute related experience


  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

You may have also acquired the following skills:



  • Previous engineering leadership experience supervising and developing engineering teams
  • Knowledge/Experience in applying ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code (Section III, Section XI, and/or Section VIII)
  • Knowledge/Experience with fundamental principles of nuclear power plant NSSS systems and component design
  • Comfortable interfacing directly with customers and regulators
  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills



Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Component Engineering Supervisor in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Component Repair & Replacement Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. You will be responsible for resource planning of your team, technical oversight of team members and project related deliverables, and meeting project and management deliverables expectations in both on time delivery and quality. While the majority of your work will support the existing operating fleet, the group is also actively involved supporting multiple new reactor concepts. Our current work scopes include detailed design of reactor internals, rigging and transport planning, and interference studies. Your work will include:



  • Build an effective, collaborative team spirit.
  • Develop team through training, mentoring, feedback, and work assignments.
  • Performs resource planning and directs the timely execution of engineering activities.
  • Provide technical oversight of team members and deliverables.
  • Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
  • Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
  • Supports OpEx initiatives.
  • Works with sales team to develop scope and provide inputs to proposals.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Supervisors of other teams.
  • Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.
  • Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures. Maintains a healthy technical conscience within the team.
  • Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $112,000 - $152,000 and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
