Summary:

The Vice President of Operations provides the top-level leadership and direction for the hospital operations within CHRISTUS Health Southeast Texas. The Vice President is responsible for promoting the CHRISTUS Health mission, values, and philosophy and for operational effectiveness and quality of care and service in each of the services that are directed. The Vice President has operational responsibility for the various clinical and operations whether provided in the acute care environment or in a free-standing facility and may include but is not limited to: imaging, laboratory, pediatric therapy, wound care, and the operational components of other service lines, as required.

The incumbent participates on the senior leadership team of the ministry and focuses on identifying and implementing innovative solutions that create value for the community. The incumbent is a problem solver and barrier remover for the leaders who report directly and for others who do not.

Education:


  • Advanced degree in business administration, business development, marketing or health care related field.

Experience:


  • A minimum of 5 years recent progressive executive leadership in a service oriented, healthcare environment, preferably a hospital.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate multi-year leadership responsibility and delivery of successful performance metrics.

Skills:


  • Track record of understanding the health care delivery and health care operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and operational responsibility in a large/complex hospital, hospital system.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with other key providers. Understanding of physicians and physician environments a potential advantage. Incumbent is a role model for physician relationships.
  • Experience with physician clinical integration models.
  • Demonstrated excellent in customer service and customer satisfaction and the ability to maintain high Associate engagement and satisfaction.
  • Ability to successfully apply new learning to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Demonstrated excellence in negotiation, facilitation, influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial operations and ability to meet/exceed financial expectation on an ongoing basis.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:


  • FACHE preferred.
